Area Credit Manager - LAP Raipur

Job Summary:**

The Area Credit Manager - LAP (Raipur) will be responsible for managing the credit underwriting and risk assessment for Loan Against Property (LAP) products within the Raipur region. This role involves ensuring adherence to credit policies, maintaining portfolio quality, and leading a team of credit officers.

Job Responsibilities:**

• Lead and manage the credit underwriting process for LAP applications, ensuring timely and accurate assessment of creditworthiness.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis, property valuation, and risk assessment for all LAP proposals.
• Ensure strict adherence to the company's credit policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor and manage the LAP portfolio quality, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions.
• Approve or recommend LAP proposals within delegated authority limits.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to streamline the loan processing workflow and achieve business targets.
• Conduct regular training and development for credit officers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Prepare and present credit reports, MIS, and portfolio performance reviews to senior management.
• Liaise with legal and technical teams for property due diligence and documentation.
• Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the LAP segment.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in credit underwriting and risk management, specifically in Loan Against Property (LAP) or mortgage finance.
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of credit professionals.
• In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, property valuation techniques, and legal aspects related to property collateral.
• Strong understanding of credit policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks governing LAP.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in credit appraisal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Local market knowledge of Raipur and surrounding areas is highly desirable.
