Position: R&D; Head – Electrical (Lighting & Luminaire Design

Engineer)

Role Overview

The R&D; Head – Electrical will lead the electrical and luminaire engineering division at Dinamoo’s

manufacturing facility in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This role involves end-to-end ownership of outdoor

LED luminaire development including design, testing, performance validation, cost engineering, and

team building.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop outdoor LED luminaires, particularly street lighting systems.

• Perform photo metric calculations using DIALux and other lighting simulation tools.

• Design PCB layouts with focus on thermal management and thickness optimization.

• Engineer effective heat sink sizing and thermal dissipation strategies.

• Optimize wattage-to-performance ratios and ensure high efficacy outputs.

• Design and optimize optics and beam angle configurations.

• Select and integrate appropriate LED drivers and power supply systems.

• Ensure compliance with lux level standards and outdoor lighting norms.

• Develop cost-engineered solutions without compromising performance.

• Establish testing protocols for lumen output, IP rating, thermal performance, and longevity.

• Build and lead an indigenous R&D; team with strong technical discipline and efficiency.

• Collaborate with manufacturing for production feasibility and scalability.

• Drive innovation in smart lighting, efficiency, and outdoor durability.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in LED lighting design and luminaire engineering

(mandatory).

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.

• Strong proficiency in DIALux and photo metric simulation tools.

• Hands-on experience in PCB design, thermal calculations, and LED fixture engineering.

• Deep understanding of heat sink design and thermal management principles.

• Knowledge of optics, beam angles, and LED lens technologies.

• Experience in driver selection and electrical safety compliance.

• Strong understanding of outdoor lighting ecosystem and street lighting applications.

• Familiarity with lux standards and relevant IS/IEC lighting norms.

• Proven leadership experience in building and managing R&D; teams.

Location

Factory-based role in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Compensation
