What will your job look like?

• Design, develop, and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Python as part of a distributed data platform.
• Implement new features and enhancements while ensuring adherence to coding standards, performance benchmarks, and scalability requirements.
• Refactor and optimize existing code to improve performance, maintainability, and reliability under guidance from senior engineers or architects.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve development, test, and production issues, including issues in distributed and data‑intensive systems.
• Work with Kafka‑based messaging and event‑driven components, ensuring correct data flow and system behavior.
• Exposure to Azure Databricks or GCP Dataproc is a plus.
• Develop unit tests and contribute to integration, load, and performance testing to ensure software quality.
• Build and package applications using Docker and deploy via Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) following standard processes.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint activities, providing constructive technical input.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to features, fixes, and deployment artifacts.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams such as QA, DevOps, and Product to deliver stable and high‑quality releases.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong programming skills in Java and Spring Boot; Python experience is preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka or similar messaging/streaming platforms.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Ability to analyze issues, debug complex problems, and implement effective fixes in production systems.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team.
