Description

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Release Manager to lead the coordination, scheduling, and governance of software releases across our technology environment. This role is central to managing and communicating release timelines, aligning with stakeholders on customer urgency, and ensuring quality controls are met prior to production deployment.

The ideal candidate will bring structure, clarity, and scalability to the release process while working cross-functionally with Engineering, QA, Product, Operations, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and continuously improve scalable release management processes.
  • Own and manage the end-to-end release schedule across all environments.

Gather input from business and customer-facing teams to assess urgency and prioritize releases accordingly.

  • Create and revise schedules for dot releases, patches, and hot fixes.
  • Ensure all new releases undergo appropriate testing and validation prior to production deployment.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, QA, Product, and Operations teams to confirm release readiness.
  • Identify release risks, manage scheduling conflicts, and drive mitigation plans.
  • Communicate release timelines, risks, dependencies, and changes to stakeholders.
  • Establish governance standards, documentation templates, and communication cadences.
  • Maintain clear release documentation and historical records for audit and reporting purposes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
  • Experience in release management, software delivery coordination, or related functions.
  • Some project management experience, including timeline creation and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work effectively with scheduling and tracking tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple parallel releases.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SaaS or enterprise software environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience building or improving release management processes.
  • Prior Experience with JIRA and/or ServiceNow a plus.
