Principal - Release Management

What Youll Do / Key Responsibilities

You’ll be the cross-functional leader who not only envisions but also executes.

From automated testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines to live monitoring in cloud environments, you’ll ensure that quality isn’t just a goal—it’s a given. You will influence teams not just within the CTO’s organization but across the entire company and with major airlines around the globe.

• Strategic Engineering Leadership: Shape and execute the vision for FLX ONE’s ONE Order backend Quality, aligning with product goals, business objectives, and industry standards – to actual operational execution and releases.
• Architectural Ownership: Oversee the Quality and Release testing, implementation, and scalability of the ONE Order backend services, driving architectural decisions that prioritize QUALITY.
• Full-Stack Mindset: You will need to go from Dev à Ops à Monitoring to make this whole gamut come to life.
• Technical Mentorship & Team Development: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing engineering team, cultivating an environment that values innovation, accountability, and growth – but mostly important Quality and Best-in-class Release management.
• Hands on: This is a hands on – role, where you will need to help with Build scripts, test scripts, framework development and monitoring dashboards. The buck stops with you!
  
  

• You’re a visionary and a doer.
• Expertise: You have at least 8+ years of experience as a hardcore developer or in a build, DevOps, or QA automation frameworks role.
• CI/CD: You’ve got strong exposure to top-notch CI/CD and monitoring frameworks in large, mature organizations, which is a huge bonus.
• API Testing Tools : You know tools like JMeter, SoapUI, and OpenSearch like the back of your hand. You’re comfortable working in a Kubernetes and AWS environment and can think strategically about quality and reliability.
• Customer-Centric Mindset: A dedication to understanding and solving customer needs, with a passion for delivering high-impact products that shape the industry.
