About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Engineer, Delivery & Architecture to serve as a senior technical leader within our Pune office.

You will work across multiple Agile teams (Scrum and ShapeUp), partnering with Technical Owners, Product Owners, and senior engineers to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across the platform. This role is both hands-on and advisory, raising the bar on architecture, delivery practices, and engineering quality across teams.

What Youll Do

• Provide architectural guidance across teams, ensuring systems are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with company standards
• Partner with Technical Owners to coach and guide design decisions, while reinforcing architectural consistency
• Raise the bar on engineering quality by influencing design, code review practices, and system thinking
• Identify cross-team technical risks, dependencies, and systemic issues, and drive resolution
• Drive consistency in delivery practices across teams, including CI/CD ownership, testing strategy, and release quality
• Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and critical implementation decisions
• Support the evolution of Agile practices (Scrum and ShapeUp) to improve delivery outcomes
• Act as a senior on-the-ground technical leader in Pune, helping scale engineering culture and capability
• Collaborate with the database team to ensure data models, stored procedures, and queries are performant and scalable
  
  

AI-Driven Engineering Expectations

• Establish patterns for AI-assisted design, implementation, and code review
• Ensure engineers use AI tools (e.g., Claude) effectively while maintaining ownership of outcomes
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and consistency through AI-assisted workflows
• Coach teams on when AI accelerates work, and when deeper engineering rigor is required
  
  

What Were Looking For

Required

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including senior or principal-level responsibilities
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, React, and SQL Server
• Experience designing and building microservices and distributed systems
• Experience working in Azure environments, including CI/CD ownership (Azure DevOps)
• Proven ability to influence engineering practices across multiple teams without direct authority
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, performance, and reliability
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum and/or ShapeUp)
• Strong communication skills across distributed teams (India, US, UK, AU)

• Experience working in platform-oriented or multi-team environments
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows

Salary Range: ₹40,00,000 to ₹50,00,000 plus 20% bonus
