We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Data Architect, to join our Engineering team. This role is located in Pune.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for data marts and enterprise data products.
• Develop schemas optimized for analytics, reporting, and federated data access across Corporate Functions.
• Ensure alignment of data models with enterprise data standards and governance practices.
• Build solutions leveraging Snowflake, Oracle, and AWS S3 as core platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure efficient ingestion, storage, and retrieval of structured and semi-structured data.
• Apply best practices for partitioning, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Work with central data lake teams to ensure authorized, standardized data sources are used.
• Design federated data marts to support specialized Corporate Functions analytics while minimizing duplication.
• Ensure data lineage, quality, and accessibility meet business and compliance requirements.
• Partner with business stakeholders in Finance, HR, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Treasury to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Collaborate with data governance, data engineering, and AI/ML teams to enable advanced use cases.
• Document metadata, business rules, and data definitions to support transparency and governance.
  
  

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience as a Data Modeler, Data Architect, or related role in the financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake, Oracle, and AWS S3.
• Familiarity with data lakes, federated data marts, and enterprise data architecture principles.
• Expertise in designing data models for Finance, Risk, HR, Compliance and Legal domains.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills (e.g., normalization, dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas).
• Experience working with large-scale, high-volume datasets in a regulated environment.
• Experience with metadata management and data catalog tools.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, GDPR, SOX).
• Familiarity with modern data product principles and data mesh concepts.
• Exposure to AI/ML-driven data products in a financial services context.
