Introduction

Ecolab is seeking a Cash Application Analyst supporting our Global Business Services team in Pune, India to provide AR support to all divisions aligned to Shared Services.

The position is accountable for all cash application activities across different divisions for complex and high impact applications, new associate training, and may provide additional high-level support to other CBC functions. This position supports AR problem resolution processes which require critical thinking and “big picture” decision making skills related to customer issue resolution. The role works within credit policy guidelines to improve DSO/Cash flow and reduce risk. The analyst will act as key liaison with both internal and external customers.

What You Will Do

  • Allocate cash to all the open payments, On Account, Unprocessed, Partially Applied, Short Pay, Overpayment, Duplicate, Inter-division and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Adheres to company and department policies utilizing function SOPs and DTPs in daily activities
  • Responds to escalated requests as needed and working on end-to-end resolution
  • Reporting and process ownership, maintaining key metrics and working to resolution
  • Communicate within and across team’s key information to key stakeholders
  • Maximizes use of CBC processes and systems to manage risk and accelerate cash flow
  • Develop deep knowledge of customer payment (Order to Cash) processes
  • Leverages extensive process knowledge across business systems to recognize process deficiencies and leads to development and implementation procedural changes to improve productivity and service levels
  • Maintains a positive, professional manner using appropriate business communication
  • Demonstrates urgency to resolve issues with associates, internal and external customers
  • Uses sound judgment in decisions and interactions
  • Subject matter expert and resource for ad hoc project support
  • Provide coaching and first line problem resolution assistance to team members
  • Achieves individual objectives related to SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Openly accepts feedback and eager to learn new responsibilities
  • Other responsibilities as defined

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Master’s Degree strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years’ related experience in credit, finance & accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application Excel
  • Fluent in English
  • SAP knowledge is a must (SAP, AS400)

  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Needs to be self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
