What You Will Do

  • Supervise Daily Operations and Set Priorities: Lead and supervise the teams daily activities, setting clear priorities and coordinating work to ensure tasks are completed and operational goals are met.
  • Manage Team Performance and Development: Be accountable for the teams output, conducting performance appraisals, pay reviews, and facilitating the training and development of team members.
  • Direct Technology Solution Delivery: Oversee the teams process for designing, developing, testing, debugging, and implementing short and long-term IT solutions and software changes within business projects.
  • Resolve Operational Problems: Identify and actively resolve day-to-day problems and roadblocks to ensure continuous operational success, making decisions guided by established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Technical Capabilities: Ensure the team develops and maintains required technical capabilities and products, providing necessary engineering support and technical consultation on critical applications

What Experience You Need

  • Software Development and Engineering: Extensive, hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including coding, testing, debugging, and implementing software solutions.
  • Team Supervision and Leadership : Proven experience in supervising the daily activities of a team (preferably production or technical support roles) and being accountable for their operational performance.
  • Project and Delivery Management: Experience delivering Technology change through project-based work, including developing and implementing short and long-term IT solutions and adapting existing system designs.
  • People Management Fundamentals: Experience with core people management responsibilities, such as conducting performance appraisals, pay reviews, and employee training/development.
  • Technical Architecture/Systems Integration: Experience with the design, development, or maintenance of applications, systems architecture, network systems, or applications infrastructure.
  • Operational Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve day-to-day operational problems and make decisions guided by policies and business plans

  • Complexity Management (Adaptation): Specific examples of successfully leading the team through highly complex tasks involving the modification or adaptation of critical, existing system designs, ensuring stability while delivering new functionality.
  • Proactive Risk & Problem Mitigation: Instead of just reacting to problems, evidence of proactively identifying systemic issues or technical debt and implementing long-term solutions that prevent recurring operational failures and improve system
