What are we looking for?

Checkmarx is seeking a talented Solutions Engineer to support its sales and business development activities in India as well as across other global regions. The primary responsibility is to act as a technical adviser and product expert, working with the Sales team and driving the technology evaluation stage in the sales process. You must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technically-oriented prospects as well as ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. You need to be self-motivated and work in a fast-paced environment comfortably. The role involves working remotely and onsite within India, and in additional territory as we expand.

How will you make an impact?

• Act as a technical adviser and product expert for Checkmarx prospects and customers across the region
• Manage and coordinate all technical requirements in the Sales process
• Perform technical demonstrations of the Checkmarx solution in a face to face meetings, conventions, and web sessions
• Responsible for presenting the Checkmarx solution to prospects at field events, Conferences, seminars, etc.
• Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs
• Able to convey customer requirements to the Product Management teams
• Design implementation of solutions according to customer’s technical requirements
  
  

Requirements:

What is needed to succeed?

• A passion to learn and grow in a fast-changing industry
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or any correlating degree; master’s degree and/or CISSP certification preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in application/software development with C#, .NET, Java, PHP, etc. programming languages, and experience with modern CI/CD and DevOps tools is a plus.
• Demonstrated software development experience and openness to pursuing careers in Solution Engineering, or other alternative paths beyond development.
• Experience in a customer-facing role and enterprise software Pre-sales experience or a consulting background is preferred.
• Project management experience would be an advantage.
• Technical writing experience is a plus.
• Good teamwork capability, ability to work autonomously, and self-starter who works effectively with technical and non-technical people.
• A background in the software security industry, including penetration testing and code review, is highly preferred.
• Adaptable and flexible with a history of embracing new tools and technologies.
• Understanding of application security challenges and testing tools.
• Travel required when the situation allows and when it is safe to do so.
