Department: - FICC Tech, CIB HBEU Technology

In this role, you will:

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills, promote knowledge sharing, and drive overall team competency.
• Lead by example, actively participating in coding, design reviews and technical discussions.
• Develop and articulate a clear vision for the modernization and transformation of existing Risk & PnL applications, transitioning to cutting-edge tech stack and architecture.
• Design & architect scalable, resilient, and high-performance applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and architectural patterns to enhance system capabilities and drive innovation
• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Influence stakeholders and drive consensus on technology decisions and architectural direction.
• Collaborate closely with technical leads, architects, and other stakeholders to drive consistency in tooling, tech stack, and architectural patterns across the department.
• Enhance cross-team communication and collaboration to ensure seamless integration and alignment of technology initiatives.
  
  

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Conduct in-depth code and application analysis to identify performance bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement comprehensive mitigation plans to address identified issues, ensuring optimal system performance and stability.
• Establish and maintain rigorous code quality standards and best practices.
• Demonstrate strong hands-on coding skills in multiple technology stacks.
• Participate in development activities as needed, providing technical expertise, and contributing to critical projects.
• Ability to prototype and create Proof of concepts.
• Extensive experience in software development and architecture, preferably in Investment banking/Finance domain.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing large scale, enterprise level applications.
• Strong expertise in modern software development practices, industry standards & architectural patterns
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
