General information

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Test Engineer (Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering) for Schaeffler India Ltd (formerly Vitesco Technologies) at the Pune, Talegaon Plant-2. This position plays a crucial role in developing processes and coordinating with internal stakeholders to successfully launch new products at the plant.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize test procedures for electronic automotive components (controllers, sensors, PCBs, etc.) in a manufacturing environment.
• Design and maintain automated and manual test setups; support end-of-line (EOL) testing & functional Test
• Analyze test results, identify defects/failures, and carry out root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and enhance testability and reliability.
• Implement and maintain automated test systems like NI LabVIEW/Test Stand, PLCs.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, reports, and work instructions in compliance with IATF and other relevant automotive standards.
• Sound understanding of electronic circuits, PCBs, and automotive powertrain systems.
• Experience with CAN automotive communication protocols is desirable.
• Good knowledge of automotive quality and safety standards.
• Proficiency in using electronic test equipment like oscilloscopes, function generators, CAN tools, multimeters, etc.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2+ years relevant experience in electronics/instrumentation test engineering, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
