About The Role

Job Title : Senior Validation Engineer

Experience : 8+ years

Location : Pune, India

As a Senior Validation Engineer, you will drive an automation-focused validation strategy, build and maintain Playwright-based test frameworks, and define best practices for both automated and manual testing. You will analyze results, triage issues, and work closely with developers and product owners to ensure every feature meets real-world requirements. You will also set up CI pipelines, create end-to-end tests across mobile, frontend, backend, and APIs, develop clear test plans, and execute both automated and manual testing to deliver reliable, high-quality releases.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement a comprehensive validation strategy with a strong focus on automation to improve product reliability and release quality.
• Be hands-on, building and maintaining automated test frameworks and tests using tools like Playwright for web portal and API testing.
• Define and enforce best practices for test automation, manual testing, including writing maintainable, scalable, and reusable tests.
• Monitor and analyze test results, triage issues, and work with development teams to resolve defects efficiently.
• Set up CI infrastructure and write automated end-to-end test scripts for mobile, frontend, API and backend
• Work with developers and product owners to help understand use-cases to ensure features and functionality are working to meet the requirements
• Write test plans and test cases for manual and automated execution
• Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing
• Manually test the product for areas that are yet to be automated.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of industry experience in validation/QA
• Strong experience in test automation for web applications and APIs, with expertise in Playwright or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for test automation, like JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with test case management, bug tracking, and reporting tools, like JIRA and XRay
• Experience defining and implementing validation processes, strategies, and best practices to ensure high product quality.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated testing integrates into development workflows.
• Debugging and troubleshooting skills, with experience in analyzing logs and diagnosing test failures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with product managers and engineers.
