Duties and responsibilities

As a Technology Architect, you will design and govern the cloud infrastructure landscape with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure (landing zones, subscriptions, RBAC models etc.).

Beyond architecture, you provide guardrails for operations and enable FinOps practices to ensure transparency and efficiency.

You will be a trusted advisor for both IT and business stakeholders, shaping the technical foundation of MAHLE cloud strategy.

Design standardized Azure infrastructure architectures (IaaS & PaaS).

Design architecture regarding landing zones, subscriptions, and RBAC models.[SH1]

Establish FinOps best practice for cost optimization, reporting, and budgeting.

Ensure high availability, scalability, and operational reliability of the Azure platform.

Provide designs enabling automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).

Define and publish architectural reference designs to be used as global standards in MAHLE IT

Establish guardrails to ensure compliance with security, data protection, and regulatory requirements.

Provide technical guidance on cloud infrastructure and platform architecture and act as point of contact for related topics

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture strategies aligned with business goals.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to operative teams on Azure services and cloud-native design patterns.

Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements in cloud solutions.

Education And Personal Qualities

Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).

Knowledge of containerized workloads and Kubernetes (AKS).

Knowledge of FinOps and cost management best practices.

Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises systems.

Knowledge of security frameworks and tools (e.g., Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud).
