Collateral and margining is a business critical function within the bank. The Collateral IT team provide the technology to enable the margining function across thousands of HSBC clients globally every day.

We are part way through a multi-year plan to build a brand new Collateral platform which will eventually replace the current platform. The new collateral platform comprises micro services leveraging the latest open source infrastructure.

Technologies used by the team include: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Java 8, Angular 7, TypeScript, Message Queues, REST APIs, Ansible.

HSBC and Collateral are heavily investing in an Agile culture with adoption of DevOps processes, CI/CD pipeline and Cloud Technologies.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialsit

In this role, you will:

• Test plan, Test Automation, and completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Client/Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and other project stakeholders. Foster strong relationships and regularly communicate project status, updates, and progress. Address any concerns or issues promptly.
• Scope and Requirements: Work closely with clients and internal teams to define project scope, objectives, and requirements. Ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of project goals and deliverables.
• Resource Allocation: Identify and allocate the necessary resources (human, financial, and technical) to ensure successful project execution.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success. Develop and implement mitigation plans to address them.
• Define requirements, prioritize and lead work with Dev/QA team as per project requirement
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination and cooperation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with the agreed-upon specifications. Also, With a Test Automation mindset, focus on automating repetitive and redundant tests to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.
  
  

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Strong track record in end to end testing, with hands-on experience on Test Automation using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Karate Framework
• The candidate must possess a fundamental understanding of Core Java.
• Candidate should have hands-on experience on REST API and UI Automation
• Understanding of test management tools, JIRA, ALM and Confluence
• Excellent multitasking ability - Must have ability to track multiple issues, effectively manage time and competing priorities, ability to work on Functional and Automation deliveries in parallel.
• Expertise on Database querying and SQL skills
• Familiarity with CI/CD, e.g. TeamCity, Jenkins, Maven
• Basic knowledge of Cloud Solutions (AWS, GCP)
• Experience with Robot Framework, RPA, Playwright would be a plus
• Python knowledge would be a plus
• Basic understanding of Capital Market/Investment Banking domain
