Responsibilities & Deliverables

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner to join our product team. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible translate high-level requirements into Epics and User Stories and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs and business goals. Your deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work closely with Finastra customers to gather detailed requirements.
  • Work with Development, QA Testing, BU (Business Units) and onsite SMEs on different project activities
  • Prepare detailed business requirements based on customer requirements
  • Prepare functional specifications for new products and features. The specifications include descriptions of basic functionality along with definitions of host interfaces (layout and mapping), GUI requirements, processing flows, database changes, etc.
  • Present walk-through of proposed functional solutions to clients and internal stakeholders (development/QA) and get sign-off from all interested parties
  • Remain involved with projects through the development and QA life cycle to ensure that the actual implementation meets the proposed requirements/solution
  • Write internal "How-to" guides, training materials and end-user documentation

Required Experience

  • 3 years of relevant financial services software experience (business analyst, support, etc.)
  • Experience working with project management software application analysis, design or implementation (knowledge of project management principles).
  • Knowledge of how software is developed and deployed.
  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills with a history of successful execution of plans.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills needed.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and decision making skills. Ability to work independently, apply judgment, maintain stable performance under stress and flexibility in an evolving work environment.
