Senior Engineer - Design BU-Engines COC

Creating Passion: Your Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating 3D Surface Models, 2D Drawings, components assemblies using CAD system Creo Parametric 10.
• Hands on experience in CAD metadata documentation using Windchill (PLM).
• Create, Validate, analyse and review digital Mock-up models for Engine Platforms; optimise and maintain the database to keep them updated.
• Integration of Subsystems in Engine platforms and performing tolerance stack-up calculations for checking clearance, gaps & worst cases in assemblies.
• Proficiently assign GD&T for complex casting, welding, piping, sheet metal, machining components according to the understanding of their manufacturing processes.
• Generating design concepts to visualize technical solutions and presenting it to experts for their clarification.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary departments within project environments.
• Collaborate with component suppliers spread across the world, consult with sub-system owners (SSO), quality, purchase and other concerned departments for technical clarifications in development process.
• Work according to company Standards, design codes, software tools adhering to all defined boundaries related to ways of working
  
  

Contributing Your Strengths: Your Qualifications
Qualification and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Automotive/Production/Industrial)
  
  

Experience:

• 7-10 years’ experience in design of components, system, sub-system in Combustion Engine domain
  
  

Preferred Skills / Special Skills:

• Exposure to creation of Digital Mock-up, their maintenance and optimization.
• Experience and know how on working with Windchill (PLM) for handling BOM and lifecycle processes and workflows in the ERP system.
• Basic Technical knowledge of Diesel Engines and different fuels.
• Basic understanding about reports of simulation results like 1D, CFD FEA, NVH.
• Autonomous, committed, Flexible, organised, work ethics and integrity.
• Ability to work and communicate with multicultural global team.
• Proficient in using MS Office Tools
