About The Opportunity
Netrix Global is looking for a Network Engineer responsible for managing Netrix and its customers IT infrastructure (on-prem/hosted and cloud environments). The Network Engineer reports to the TOC/NOC Manager under Managed Services and serves as an escalation point for the TOC/NOC, Service Desk, and Systems Team.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience and adequate skills in the administration, management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Network and foundational Systems support. The role is responsible for responding to alerts generated by monitoring and operational tools, assessing events that require investigation, and coordinating or performing initial remediation as needed. While this position is not primarily focused on day-to-day network engineering, the engineer acts as a network subject matter resource within the TOC, providing guidance during troubleshooting, validating root cause, and supporting escalation and resolution efforts. The role will also include systems-related alert response responsibilities alongside networking support.
This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as the primary point of customer interaction for incidents and service.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Support and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and controllers.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network, hardware, and software issues.
- Coordinate replacement or remediate faulty network hardware components when necessary.
- Work directly with users and internal teams to resolve connectivity and infrastructure-related issues.
- Monitor network and systems performance using centralized management and monitoring tools.
- Coordinate and manage network access and usage.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to provide a high level of customer service and meet departmental KPIs.
- Document configurations, procedures, and best practices; maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and after-hours support.
- Participate in client onboarding, delivery, and internal continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow documented Change and Problem Management processes for Netrix and its customers.
- Continually works toward the development of their technical skill set(s) to better serve the Netrix Global organization and its clients
Qualifications
What You Will Bring To The Table
- Associate’s degree in information technology or a related discipline with an emphasis on networking, or comparable professional experience.
- Vendor-recognized firewall, routing, and switching certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, or equivalent).
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support and management of core core network technology stack like firewalls, switches, routers, access points.

- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms:
- Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, SonicWall, Check Point
- Ubiquiti, HP, Dell, Aruba, Arista
- VMware / VeloCloud, Silver Peak, Meraki
- Understanding of systems and network infrastructure, hardware, and firmware.
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot wired and wireless network environments.
Supplemental / Good-to-Have Skills
- Working knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
- Ability to visualize problems
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and management tools
- Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is a plus.

Shift : Wednesday - Saturday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET
This shift may be rotated/changed based on support coverage requirment.
