We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead UI/UX Designer.

In this role, you will:

  • Create, write, and design clear, concise, and user-centric content in English for HSBC Hong Kong’s digital products, including the mobile banking app and online banking.
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers to co-create the user experience, considering content structure, hierarchy, layout, navigation, accessibility, and etc.
  • Develop UX copy that guides users through our digital journeys, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a seamless user experience.
  • Actively participate throughout the design process, from initial concept, prototyping, and iteration to final implementation, to deliver best-in-class user experiences.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with business and tech stakeholders to align content with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Support user research initiatives to understand user needs and behaviours, and incorporate findings into content strategy and design.
  • Ensure all content accurately represents the brand and adheres to brand guidelines, tone, and style.
  • Manage and curate content to ensure it is up-to-date, relevant, and consistent across all digital platforms.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in business analysis and most recent experience preferably in the banking and financial domain.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or other related disciplines
  • Proven experience as a Content Designer, UX Writer, or similar role
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with User Centred Design methodology and its practical implementation
  • Profound understanding of best practices and trends regarding digital, banking, finance, and investment products.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
