Role purpose

Lead the India Field Crops Seeds business with full accountability for business performance, strategy execution and sustainable growth. Drive end-to-end value creation across portfolio, demand generation, commercial execution, supply alignment and talent development to strengthen Syngenta's market leadership in India.

Shape and execute the long-term growth strategy for the Field Crops business by integrating market insights, customer needs, innovation pipelines and operational excellence. Build a high-performing organization that delivers superior commercial outcomes while fostering collaboration across Commercial, Marketing, Supply, Production & Supply, R&D, Finance and regional stakeholders.

Accountabilities

Business & P&L Leadership

Accountable for delivering the India Field Crops Seeds business strategy, revenue, market share, profitability and cash-generation objectives. Drive sustainable business growth while ensuring strong financial discipline and resource optimization

Strategic Growth & Portfolio Management

Define and execute the medium and long-term strategy for the India Field Crops business. Shape portfolio investment priorities, lifecycle management, innovation launches, germplasm deployment and growth opportunities that strengthen competitive advantage and customer value creation.

Commercial Excellence & Market Leadership

Lead commercial strategy and execution across pricing, demand generation, channel effectiveness, customer engagement and in-season business performance management. Ensure superior execution and profitable market share growth across all Field Crops segments

End-to-End Business Integration

Orchestrate alignment across Marketing, Supply Chain, Production & Supply, R&D, Finance and Sales teams to ensure effective planning, forecasting, inventory management and business delivery. Drive enterprise-wide decision-making that balances short-term performance with long-term value creation.

Customer, Market & Industry Stewardship

Develop deep understanding of the evolving agricultural landscape, customer needs, channel dynamics and competitive environment. Build strategic relationships with key customers, distributors, industry influencers and external stakeholders to strengthen Syngenta's leadership position.

Innovation & Transformation
