IDMS Factory Buyer- Automotive Business

We are in the process of identifying a suitable candidate for the role of IDMS Factory Buyer. This role will be based in Pune and will report to the Manager Pune Factory Purchasing.

To manage Tooling’s, Abrasives, MRO, Packaging, Oil & Lub. & Misc. Service categories for SKF Pune Factory requirements which includes savings & on time delivery.

Supplier and stakeholder relationship management.

The role holder must be in Regular contact with the Stakeholders and keep smooth and seamless flow of Purchasing. Also create purchase orders and agreements with the suppliers and get NDAs signed wherever necessary.  

Key responsibilities (or What you can expect in the role)

• Manage Tooling’s, Abrasives, MRO, Packaging, Oil & Lub. & Misc. Service category requirements for SKF Pune Factory.
• Drive and implement major cost savings / sourcing projects in Tooling and Oil & Lub. Categories.
• Align with Country Category as well as Global Category managers to Drive Strategic Projects to achieve Country and Category BP targets.
• Techno-commercial evaluation of suppliers and proposals.
• Run RFx process , implement outcome of global strategic souring projects in India.
• Supplier profile assessment (w.r.t. financial, technical capabilities, safety compliances, project management, resources, legal compliances etc.)
• Finalization of contract / agreement (legal document) with service provider/supplier with support from contract owner (requesting function) and SKF legal
• Monitor supplier / service provider performance / SLA
• Support and participate in SKF safety / COC audits at service provider workplace / customer site (for cases where service providers are deployed at SKF Customer sites)
• Ensure zero-line stoppages.
• Supplier and stakeholder relationship management.
• Resolve supplier related issues.
  
  

Requirements (or We Expect You To Have/be)

• Candidate should be graduate in Mechanical Engineering and/or full time MBA/PGDM.
• Prior experience of Categories Tooling’s, Abrasives, MRO, Packaging, Oil & Lub. & Misc. buying
• Preferred experience from Automotive/Auto ancillary industries
• Purchase experience of 5+ years.
• Operational Purchasing (indirect material)
