Job Description

As a Guest Service Associate in Housekeeping, you play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests have a memorable and comfortable stay. Your primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness, order, and aesthetics of guest rooms and public spaces. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent customer service skills, and a strong work ethic. You are often the first point of contact for guests with housekeeping requests and will need to address and resolve issues promptly and professionally. As a Guest Service Associate, you are responsible for upholding the standards of our establishment and contributing to positively impacting the guest experience.


Responsibilities

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms and ensure all amenities are restocked.
  • Inspect rooms for compliance with health and safety standards consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with guests to resolve any housekeeping inquiries or complaints.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate departments immediately.
  • Provide courteous and efficient service to guests while ensuring privacy and security.
  • Organize and restock housekeeping carts with necessary supplies and linens daily.
  • Collect and dispose of trash, while following waste management protocols diligently.
  • Adhere to the standard operating procedures and daily checklist accurately and thoroughly.
  • Assist in the inventory management of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
  • Coordinate with the front desk on room status and guest needs timely and efficiently.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new housekeeping staff and temporary workers as required.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to improve service quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with further education in hospitality preferred.
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping role in a hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring quality service.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with diverse guest profiles.
  • Physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks, including lifting and bending.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Proficiency in basic housekeeping equipment and cleaning tools is essential.
