Business Analyst, Healthcare Interoperability (XFORM)

About The Role

As a member of Product Management team, you will play a pivotal role in bringing to market a cutting-edge cloud data platform with industry leading data usability capabilities for Healthcare Payers. Our solutions enable clients to turn vast and diverse data into insights that drive improved outcomes and enable a wide range of internal and compliance workflows. As a Business/System Analyst, you will work directly with Product & Data Engineering team to deliver enhancements. This role demands a strong foundation in effectively translate Functional requirements into precise technical requirements. At Abacus, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside engineering and stakeholders across the organization, prioritizing your backlog to align with Objectives and Key Results (OKR) and immediate customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with Scrum Teams, Product Team & various stakeholders to gather, analyse & document Business Requirements.
• Enhance and expand Abacus Platform capabilities in healthcare interoperability (FHIR, X12, HL7 V2) for versatile data integration and patient care.
• Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, translating strategic goals into product features and crafting effective Epics and User Stories.
• Maintain a transparent, prioritized backlog to ensure efficient development.
• Communicate updates and insights to leadership and broader audiences.
• Ensure the development team accurately estimates task complexity and effort.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to align developments with customer needs.
• Coordinate product development with client deployment for seamless implementation.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for translating business needs into PBI.
• Experience in release coordination and acceptance testing.
• Work experience with Agile product development framework (Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of Healthcare Data Exchange Standards – HL7, CCDAs, EDI ANSI X12, FHIR. LOINC, etc
• Experience shipping SaaS products.
• Understanding of data platform R&D and comfort in technical environments.
• Tactical and strategic thinking skills to inspire and lead.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
• Previous experience working with US teams and proven track record of successful and on-time task completion when working in an international organization.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant BA/SA experience.

• Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in database concepts/tools (preferably Databricks, Snowflake).
• Experience with big data, ETL, data pipelines, CMS Interoperability , DevOps & automation.
