Back End Software Engineer

Job Description 

Positions: Sr Developer DotNet

Looking for a highly motivated candidate to work upon development and support of a Windows application developed in C#.NET with backend developed in C# & C++. Application is hosted in both On-Prem as well as Cloud environment, hence any exposure to Cloud Technology like Azure is an added advantage.

Position Purpose:

Analyse, design and develop code. Perform maintenance on existing programs. Provide innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions.  Participate in knowledge sharing activities.

Qualification/Experience:

• B.Tech./B.E. in Engineering (preferably Computer Science) with 8+ years of total experience.
  
  

Special Knowledge and Skills:

Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of software architecture & design preferred
• Experience with agile software development processes (specifically SCRUM)
• Knowledge of configuration management
• Knowledge of software construction 
• Knowledge of and adherence to software quality principles
• Knowledge of Information Engineering (Databases, Data management Processes)
• Application Development Skills:

Mandatory:

5+ years of relevant experience

• Should have in-depth hands-on experience in C#.NET (.NET 4.5 or higher)
• Experience in WCF or Web APIs
• Strong in OOPs Concepts
• Strong in writing queries against databases such as SQL Server
• Understanding of Design Patterns
• Must have experience working with:
• IDE like Visual Studio
• Source code repository like Azure DevOps (VSTS) or TFS

Good to Have:

• Experience in C++, MFC, COM on Windows
• Experience in Micro-services, HTML5
• Experience in WPF
• Experience in any Cloud technology like Azure
• Working knowledge of DevOps

Additional general requirements:

• Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
• Collaborate very closely with team members, to implement and support data-oriented development efforts
• Work very closely with key users, sponsors and management to implement and support data-oriented development efforts
• Collaborates well with the team.
