Job Title: Junior Azure Data Engineer

Location: Nashik/Pune, India

Experience Required: 3 to 5 Years

Employment Type: Full-time

The job

As a Junior Azure Data Engineer, you will be part of a growing data engineering team building scalable and secure data platforms for SaaS, multi-tenant applications. You will work closely with senior engineers to develop data pipelines, perform transformations, and support event-driven data workflows while continuously learning modern Azure data technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Synapse and Spark notebooks
• Perform data ingestion, transformation, and incremental loading from multiple sources
• Support background processing and automation using Azure Functions
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to model and manage data
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks
  
  

Essential Requirements

• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (Pipelines, SQL pools)
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, or Cosmos DB
• Good SQL skills and basic data modelling knowledge
• Understanding of incremental loads, CDC, and performance tuning
• Basic knowledge of Azure security (Managed Identity, RBAC, Key Vault)
  
  

Desired Skills

• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or Delta Lake / Parquet formats
• Basic understanding of event-driven or asynchronous processing
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and collaborative development practices
• Strong logical thinking and willingness to learn
