This Position reports to:

Manager - Competency Development




In this role, you will design and deliver impactful training programs in industrial automation and robotics, supporting regional trainings, workshops, and skill development initiatives. Reporting to the Manager – Competency Development, you will play a key role in building technical capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

This role will be working as an Automation Engineer within B&R – Machine Automation Division, based in Pune, India.


Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs on industrial automation systems (e.g., PLCs, Motion, robotics, HMI, Software Technologies, industrial communication protocols).
• Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve content and delivery methods.
• Conduct skill assessments and identify training needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training with business goals.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in industrial automation to keep the training content relevant.
• Provide guidance to trainees during and after the training program.
• Ensure the training facility and the setups are well maintained and in good working order
  
  

Qualification of the role

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical / electronics / instrumentation /mechatronics)
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or technical training.
• Prior experience in technical training or mentoring is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in PLC programming
• Familiarity with VFDs, servo systems, industrial sensors, and safety systems.
• Good knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus, CANopen, OPCUA.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Confident in communication in the English language and local language.
• A genuine passion for mentoring and helping others develop their technical skills.
