Job Title – Associate Relationship Manager

Business Unit – Government Banking Group

Function – Government Banking Group

Job Purpose

The role entails helping build deep relationships with clients including government bodies, quasi-judicial authorities, autonomous bodies, State Departments, etc in order to maximize profitability and meet targets while minimizing risk and ensuring strict adherence to guidelines. The role is responsible for increasing volume of sales by interacting with customers in order to develop and retain business and to provide a range of general banking services to customers in order to address their queries and process their requests, in line with the bank’s customer service, policies and operational quality standards.

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Help ensure seamless customer on boarding by ensuring best in-class customer servicing standards and processes and develop deep relationships to become the clients banking partner of choice
  • Understand customer requirements and help structure solutions to achieve customer satisfaction while remaining aligned with the bank’s policies
  • Follow all relevant departmental and bank-wide policies, processes, procedures and instructions including accurate and timely Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) requirements, ensuring compliance and risk categorization
  • The role bearer is responsible to help with customer acquisition of high value, high ticket size accounts after due diligence
  • Deliver, consistently, high levels of customer service and deal with customer queries effectively, initiating transactions where possible and escalating complex ones to the appropriate channel, in order to maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction in line with the banks service quality standards.
  • Ensure flawless execution of client relationship transactions maintaining appropriate records and responding to customer requests and queries without delay
  • Monitor portfolio and flag early warning signals while maintaining a constant touchpoint with the clients
  • Gather and leverage market intelligence to incorporate best practices
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to help achieve business critical goals
  • Develop competitor awareness to assess the extent to which the banks products and services are competitive and achieve market coverage
  • Ensure high quality customer service and review customer complaints in order to maintain customer satisfaction and increase the treasury business
  • Ensure adequate filing and record keeping of client queries in order to ensure availability for any future reference

Graduate - Any

Post Graduate – MBA Finance

Experience

5+ Years of relevant Government Banking experience
