We are looking for an Assistant Manager - Product Data Management will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of all product data on our e-commerce website. This role ensures the quality, accuracy, and consistency of product information, including descriptions, specifications, images, pricing, and categorizations. The ideal candidate will be a highly detail-oriented, analytical, and organized professional with a strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and data management principles. This role works closely with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Marketing, IT, Engineering to support new product launches, promotions, and ongoing product lifecycle management. Primarily, this position would be supporting the Kitchen and Bath business for Global regions
Key Responsibilities
Product Data Management:
Oversee the entry, maintenance, and quality control of product data in the Product Information Management (PIM) system and e-commerce platform.
Ensure all product attributes, including descriptions, specs, images, videos, and marketing copy, are accurate, consistent, and up-to-date.
Implement and enforce data governance standards and best practices to maintain data integrity.
Manage product catalog updates, including adding new products, updating existing ones, and archiving discontinued items.
Own the creation, maintenance, and syndication of product data, including technical specifications, marketing descriptions, pricing, and digital assets (images, videos) for the entire product portfolio.
Website Merchandising & Categorization:
Manage the product categorization to ensure a logical and user-friendly navigation experience for customers.
Audit website product pages for data accuracy, content quality, and proper merchandising.
Assist in setting up and managing product promotions, bundles, and cross-sells.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Serve as the primary point of contact for product data-related inquiries from internal teams.
Collaborate with the Merchandising team to gather product information for new releases and updates.
Work with the Marketing team to ensure product content is optimized for SEO and marketing campaigns.
Partner with the IT and development teams to troubleshoot data-related issues and implement new system features.
Coordinate with vendors or external partners to receive and process product data feeds.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Generate and analyze reports on product data quality, completeness, and performance.
Identify data inconsistencies and errors, and implement corrective actions.
Contribute to projects aimed at improving data automation and efficiency.
Experience Requirement
What we are looking for, from your past experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in e-commerce, product data management, or content management, preferably within a large manufacturing or retail company.
Proven experience working with a Product Information Management (PIM) system and a major e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, etc.).
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and work collaboratively across departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
Knowledge of SEO principles as they relate to product content is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
Experience with a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
Familiarity with data governance best practices.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Basic understanding of SQL or other database query languages.
