Application Engineer

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech

Experience: 7 to 10 years

Roles & Responsibility:

Liaise with engineering teams to understand requirements and optimize application performance.

Coordinate with global teams to align application usage and standards.

Monitor system performance and generate reports on application usage and incidents.

Document configurations, processes, and support procedures.

Drive system enhancements and updates in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Must Have:

• Experience in providing Engineering Application support (installations, troubleshooting) for large engineering organization/function.

• Sound knowledge and experience managing any of below applications:

Altair - Hyperworks

Ansys, LS Dyna,

Mechanical Solvers

• Experience of working with CAD and CAE systems and models.

• HPC design and administration, Job Scheduling, Solver & License management.

Good to Have:

• Strong knowledge in automotive product development & latest technologies.

• Good understanding of engineering business processes.

• Ability to handle multiple assignments/tasks with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.

• Ability to work with multi-cultural users and IT counterparts across the globe.

• Understanding of cloud-based or hybrid deployment models for engineering applications

• Exposure to DevOps or CI/CD processes for engineering application delivery

• Experience with ticketing and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
