API Testing

Your Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented API Testing Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating the functionality, reliability, performance, and security of APIs across various platforms. You will design and execute test strategies, collaborate with development teams, and ensure seamless integration between services in a microservices or distributed architecture.

• Design and implement comprehensive API test plans and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of REST and SOAP APIs.
• Automate API tests using tools and frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured, or Karate.
• Validate request/response payloads, headers, status codes, and error handling.
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand API specifications.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide detailed reports.
• Integrate API tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
• Ensure API security testing and compliance with standards
  
  

• Strong experience in REST and SOAP API testing.
• Proficiency with tools like Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, Swagger.
• Hands-on experience with JSON, XML, HTTP methods, and status codes.
• Scripting/programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI)
