About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Development and Support Specialist to join our Group Technology team in Pune. This role focuses on managing Kubernetes clusters, optimising Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources, and developing ETL workflows. The individual will act as a subject matter expert, ensuring high availability of services, driving automation, and supporting onboarding of bespoke applications into strategic solutions.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and manage Kubernetes clusters for scalable and resilient application deployment.
- Administer and optimise GCP resources including Dataproc clusters, IAM, VPC, and storage solutions.
- Conduct GCP platform capacity reviews and provide recommendations for performance and cost optimisation.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Analyse and modify existing application logic or develop new logic to meet evolving business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure issues at L2/L3 level.
- Document technical designs, procedures, and best practices.
Who you are
- Minimum 7 years of experience in application development and support.
- Expertise in Kubernetes cluster architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Dataproc, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and IAM.
- Proficiency in GCP DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of ETL concepts and experience in building and optimising ETL workflows.
- Skilled in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Java.
- Professional certification in GCP or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
