Senior Associate, Accounting

Job Location: Pune

Work Type: Hybrid (Twice a week)

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records including ledgers, journals, and general ledger entries.
• Process invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements accurately and on time.
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate asset tracking and depreciation accounting.
• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly and resolve any discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and customer collections.
• Prepare and submit documentation for internal and external audits.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with overseas teams for invoice booking and month-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and support payroll-related accounting.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns in compliance with Indian tax laws.
• Communicate effectively across teams and cultures to ensure smooth financial operations.
  
  
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Inter CA OR MBA Finance,
• Experience: 6-8 years in accounting or a similar role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, Netsuite, or equivalent).
• Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and other tax regulations.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse financial data and generate insights.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in maintaining financial records and reporting.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for internal and external coordination.
• Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Professional Ethics: Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
