About This Role

We are seeking an Ab Initio Developer who will lead the design, development, and delivery of robust ETL solutions using advanced Ab Initio technologies. The individual will work closely with product owners and global teams, contributing to strategic implementation projects, creating high‑quality design artefacts, and ensuring efficient data staging and architecture. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise, leadership in solution implementation, and active participation in process improvement across the Software Engineering – BIBDA function.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with the product owner and offshore teams as a hands‑on designer and developer of complex ETL components using the latest Ab Initio technologies.
• Lead or contribute to defining, executing, and communicating ETL strategies and technical solutions.
• Develop data staging layers, data architectures, and integrations for internal and external application interfaces.
• Handle detailed functional designs and complex implementation activities across the full project lifecycle using Ab Initio tools such as GDE, EME, Control Centre, Continuous Flows, ICFFs, Metadata Hub, Express>It, Micrographs, Web Services, MDW Framework, and Data Quality Assessment.
• Create detailed low‑level design documentation and functional mappings.
• Contribute to organisational improvements through better processes, resource optimisation, and modern tool adoption.
• Support quality processes and standards within the BI Service Line.
  
  

Who You Are

• Possess extensive knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
• Bring strong hands‑on experience with advanced Ab Initio tools and technologies.
• Skilled in SQL, UNIX/Linux, and scripting.
• Experienced in preparing high‑level design documentation and leading end‑to‑end solution implementation.
• Have at least 8–12 years of relevant professional experience.
• Have telecommunications domain experience.
• Hold a B.E, B.Tech, MCA, or M.Sc qualification.
