Engineer Electrical- T12
Job Description: Engineer– Electrical will primarily focus on Product Development for battery racks and battery solutions for global as well as regional markets.
This role involves proficiency in all stages of design—from initial concept development to final prototype creation—ensuring a smooth and efficient handover to the production stage.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Experience Requirements
8-10 years
Key Requirements
- Proficient in electrical systems design, particularly for panels.
- Knowledge of standard Electrical Drawings and Schematic development, BOM Preparation, Wire harness Design
- Sound knowledge of Battery based system and their integration with power converters
- Sound knowledge of battery types and their behavior characteristics
- Sound knowledge of power electronic converters and semiconductor switches basically (static switches).
- Strong knowledge of electrical rackwiring and associated software.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately to deliver manufacturing drawings and associated documentation.
- Ability to understand UL, IEC and various standards of testing and certifications
Desirable Skills
- Hands-on experience in designing battery racks according to standards.
- Exposure to electrical switchgear such as MCB, MCCB, fuses, etc., and their selection criteria.
- Understanding of busbar design considerations.
- Ability to quickly develop cross-functional relationships to achieve business objectives.
- Strong business acumen and strong problem-solving capabilities to address challenges and seize opportunities
- Technical expertise to translate stakeholder needs/pain points to solutions
- Able to combine long-term and short-term goals by setting priorities
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems, including component selection, wiring, layout, and testing.
- Conduct design reviews with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Assist in design-related activities from product request through to prototype completion.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of design drawings and other related documents.
- Serve as a key contributor for both India and the Global and ETO (Engineered-to-Order) orders.
- Lead benchmarking efforts with the engineering team to enhance product competitiveness in terms of cost and performance.
- Work with global teams to share knowledge and domain expertise, fostering a culture of collaboration.
- Gather and analyze feedback from internal and external customers to generate Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects.
