About The Team

The Senior Project Manager will be joining the Professional Services team at Nutanix, located in Bangalore. This dynamic team is dedicated to delivering exceptional project outcomes for clients by leveraging innovative technologies and fostering collaborative relationships. The mission of the Professional Services team is to ensure that clients achieve their desired outcomes through tailored solutions and expert guidance, ultimately enhancing their operational efficiency and technological capabilities.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Professional Services, who is known for their supportive leadership style that encourages autonomy, promotes professional growth, and values team input. The work setup for this role is hybrid, with the expectation of working in the office for part of the week, allowing for both collaborative in-person interactions and the flexibility of remote work.

This role requires some travel, with expectations of up to 25% of time spent on the road. This travel will primarily involve visiting client sites to ensure successful project delivery and to maintain strong client relationships, underscoring the importance of face-to-face communication in fostering trust and collaboration.

Your Role

• Coordinate internal resources to deliver customer outcomes as sold.
• Ensure all projects delivered within time, scope, quality, and cost constraints.
• Fiscal responsibility to include revenue forecasting on a per project basis; margin oversight and management.
• Assist in definition of project success criteria and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility and desired quality.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Run customer facing project status meetings as required.
• Develop customer project status reports as required.
• Manage project issues and risks.
• Develop and manage project dependencies.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers worldwide to improve PM efficiency.
• Foster relationships with customers enabling future account sales.
• Familiarity with multiple project dashboard creation and presentation/communication to all levels of stakeholders and management a plus.

What You Will Bring

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in data center or IT infrastructure.
• Excellent project planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
• Strong technical background in virtualization and infrastructure solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with client-facing experience.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple high-profile workstreams and establish cross-collaboration.
• Four-year degree or relevant combination of education and experience.
  
  

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
