We are looking for a Senior .NET/C# Developer – AI‑Augmented Backend.

You’ll Make a Difference By:

• AI‑Augmented Backend Development: Define prompting strategies, skills, rules, and guardrails for AI‑assisted C# code generation using tools such as Claude Code. Review, validate, and refine generated backend code to ensure correctness, security, and adherence to .NET best practices and Clean Architecture principles. You don’t just accept what the model produces—you understand every line it writes.
• Platform Development & Architecture: Design and maintain robust .NET backend services, APIs, and platform components using ASP.NET Core, Web API, and Entity Framework Core. Ensure consistent patterns, reusable libraries, and scalable architectures across teams and environments.
• Automation & CI/CD Integration: Build and maintain automated pipelines for application builds, testing, and deployment. Integrate AI‑assisted code generation into existing CI/CD workflows with appropriate review gates, quality checks, and pre‑commit hooks.
• Testing & Quality Engineering: Champion a test‑driven culture with comprehensive unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests using frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest. Ensure AI‑generated code meets the same rigorous quality standards as hand‑written code.
• Partnership: Work closely with platform engineers, data teams, security engineers, and international development teams to translate business and technical requirements into reliable, well‑governed backend solutions.
• Knowledge Sharing & Documentation: Create clear documentation for backend patterns, AI‑assisted workflows, and engineering standards. Enable teams to adopt AI‑augmented development practices confidently and responsibly. You will drive our shift from manual backend development to AI‑assisted engineering at scale.
• Compliance & Security Implementation: Ensure security best practices are embedded in all generated code, including authentication, authorization, data protection, input validation, and regulatory compliance. Support audit readiness and governance processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with .NET releases, C# language advancements, and the rapidly evolving landscape of AI‑assisted development. Identify opportunities to improve generation quality, reduce manual intervention, and increase delivery velocity.
• Backend Engineering Strategy: Rather than writing every line of code manually, you will define, orchestrate, and govern how backend code is generated—leveraging AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude Code to accelerate delivery while maintaining full architectural control. In collaboration with platform engineers, security teams, and development leads, you will own the backend engineering strategy for our platforms, ensuring robust, scalable, production‑grade .NET solutions.
  
  

You’ll Win Us Over By:

• A degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience
• Overall 7 - 8 + years of experience with 5+ years of hands‑on experience building and maintaining enterprise .NET/C# backend applications, with deep expertise in ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework Core, dependency injection, and middleware patterns
• Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code or comparable tools) for backend code generation—not as a novelty, but as a core part of your workflow
• Strong architectural understanding of the .NET ecosystem and how components compose production‑grade systems: REST/gRPC APIs, message queues, caching layers, database access patterns (Repository, Unit of Work), and background services
• Experience with SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake) and ORM frameworks, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git/GitHub), and testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, FluentAssertions, Moq)
• Ability to critically evaluate AI‑generated code, identifying subtle bugs, security gaps, anti‑patterns, and deviations from organizational standards
• Familiarity with cloud platforms—especially AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront) or Azure—and cloud‑native development patterns
• Knowledge of application security topics, including authentication (OAuth2/OIDC), authorization, data protection, and secure coding practices
• Passion for working at the intersection of backend engineering and AI‑assisted development—you understand both the leverage and the risks
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a rapidly evolving tooling landscape
