Job Purpose

The Senior Crew Planner manages the preparation, generation, and publication of monthly crew pairings, rosters, and training plans for Flight Crew and Cabin Crew. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and operational needs, mentors junior planners, and contributes to process improvement initiatives.

Key Result Responsibilities

Crew Planning & Scheduling

  • Lead the preparation and publication of legal, equitable, and cost-efficient monthly crew rosters.
  • Prepare and oversee monthly, seasonal, and annual crew pairings based on flight schedules and operational requirements.
  • Ensure incorporation of all required trainings, renewals, validations, and qualifications into schedules.
  • Analyze data for crew planning activities, including seasonal/ad-hoc flight schedules and training requirements.
  • Coordinate with departments for logistical arrangements inc. hotel accommodation, transportation, seat blocking and visa/APIS/APP requirements.
  • Arrange language-specific and gender-specific crew requirements to ensure appropriate staffing for scheduled flights.
  • Credit and Block hours adjustments for individual rosters
  • Ensures the timely arrangement of required standby crew as per operational needs.
  • Identify and resolve crew violations prior to roster publication
  • Ensures an equitable distribution of night flight.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain up-to-date records of crew licenses, certificates, and qualifications.
  • Review, validate, and submit reports including crew KPIs, office duty rosters, and training reports.
  • Lead internal audit preparations and ensure timely resolution of findings.

Other Duties

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or by Central Teams (Crew Planning, Flight Operations & Cabin Crew).

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Management, Mathematics, or related field; diploma in aviation/transportation management with relevant experience may be accepted.
  • Knowledge of IATA principles and security standards is an advantage.
  • Expert in crew management systems and productivity tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English.

Work Experience

  • With 4-6 years of experience in crew planning with mentoring responsibilities.
