Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer with over 10 years of expertise in power plant engineering. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and plant operations, along with hands-on exposure to site execution and commissioning. The role involves end-to-end ownership of control & instrumentation systems—from basic engineering and design to site support, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Candidates with exposure beyond instrumentation (electrical/system integration/site coordination) will have a

strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design:

  • Lead detailed engineering of control and instrumentation systems for power plant projects.
  • Develop key deliverables such as Instrument Index, I/O List, Cable Schedule, Logic
  • Diagrams, Control Schemes, and layout drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards (IEC, ISA, NFPA, etc.) and project specifications.
  • Participate in system architecture design for DCS/PLC/SCADA systems.

Project Execution & Site Support:

  • Support site activities including installation, loop checking, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with site teams to resolve engineering and execution challenges.
  • Site exposure in power plants (WHR, thermal, gas-based, etc.) will be strong advantage.

Project Management & Coordination:

  • Manage complete project lifecycle from concept to commissioning.
  • Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil teams for seamless integration.
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.

Vendor Management:

  • Evaluate vendor offers, technical specifications, and drawings.
  • Review and approve vendor documents ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Participate in technical discussions and vendor negotiations.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain engineering documents, datasheets, specifications, and test
  • procedures.
  • Maintain revision control and documentation records.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders and management.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
  • Instrumentation specialization preferred; multi-discipline exposure is an advantage
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in control & instrumentation engineering within the

power plant sector

  • Experience across engineering + site execution/commissioning preferred
  • Strong expertise in DCS, PLC, SCADA systems
  • Hands-on experience in control system design, field instrumentation, and integration
  • Familiarity with power plant processes and systems
  • Knowledge of industry standards (IEC, ISA, NFPA)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent project coordination and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Experience in site commissioning and startup activities
  • Exposure to electrical systems or multi-discipline engineering
  • Certification in control systems or automation
  • Knowledge of HSE standards in power plant environments
  • Experience with advanced automation/control strategy
