Product Owner

Your Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible as a product expert for Low Pressure Fuel Injector across Schaeffler.
• Own the Product performance and reliability
• Support new applications with product technical definition and customer support during acquisitions
• Develop expertise with all aspects of injector bench marking, prototype manufacturing and testing
• Define and manage laboratory characterization and qualification testing
• Deep and active support of any process issues in Manufacturing and field failures
• Mentor new Engineer training
• Able to conduct work with minimal guidance and supervision, and to balance multiple projects
• Able to work effectively in a worldwide organization, including up to 10% travel
  
  

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years (15 years preferred) of experience in an Injector Design & development Role
• Understanding of solenoid fast actuators, including magnetic material selection
• Able to design precision metal components via deep drawing, machining, electro-plating, and other processes
• Understanding of low pressure injector flow and fuel characteristics
• Exposure to High-Speed Manufacturing environment
• Ability to lead and drive real design decisions
• Understanding of PPAP and other automotive quality tools
• FMEA Expert
• Fluent English
• Exposure to Structural FEA , CAD (Catia, Creo)
• Basic understanding of Magnetic analysis, and other Simulation methods as needed
