Selected Interns Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

• Assist in assembly operations of mechanical systems and components under supervision.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles.
• Work with suppliers for new component development, ensuring quality, timelines, and coordination.
• Use various mechanical tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Work with materials (metals, plastics) and apply basic material knowledge in practical tasks.
• Use measurement and inspection instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, etc.) to verify parts meet specifications.
• Understand and assist in manufacturing processes: VMC/CNC machining, turning, milling, EDM, sheet metal work, surface treatments (electroplating, powder coating, laser cutting, bending, marking).
• Learn basic metallurgy and heat treatment processes, their effects on material properties.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, identify areas for process optimization and efficiency.
• Maintain documentation: component specs, inspection logs, process sheets, deviations, supplier records.
