Manager_GCP Platform Architect_Pune

About This Role

The GCP Platform Architect will serve as the subject matter expert for Google Cloud Platform within the VFDE Platform Team. The individual will design, implement, and optimise scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud infrastructure solutions. This role supports transformation initiatives within TechVI – VCI Operations and is based in Pune (SP Infocity). The position requires strong architectural proficiency, hands-on technical capability, and collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams.

You enjoy translating infrastructure requirements into robust architectural designs and continuously improving operational practices.

What You Will Do

Design and implement GCP infrastructure solutions with emphasis on scalability, security, and cost efficiency.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Cloud Build.Architect and deploy serverless solutions, leveraging Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and other GCP-native services.Configure and optimise compute resources including Load Balancers and Managed Instance Groups.Write and maintain Terraform code, including development of reusable custom modules.Automate operational tasks through Shell scripting or Python.Collaborate with solution architects to shape infrastructure designs for new initiatives.Ensure adherence to best practices in security, monitoring, and compliance across all GCP environments.

What Skills You Need

Expert-level understanding of GCP services across Compute, Networking, IAM, Serverless and related domains.Strong knowledge of DevOps methodologies and tools, including Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Cloud Build.Advanced proficiency in Terraform, including custom module creation.Deep familiarity with Cloud Run and other serverless technologies.Experience with Load Balancers, Managed Instance Groups, and GCP networking.Strong scripting capabilities using Shell or Python.Ability to design infrastructure solutions from an architectural perspective.Effective problem-solving abilities along with clear, inclusive communication skills.Professional certifications:

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
