Lead System Engineer - Microsoft Azure

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead System Engineer specializing in Microsoft Azure to join our dynamic team. As a key technical leader, you will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions, ensuring fault tolerance, high availability, scalability, and security. This role requires hands-on expertise in Azure infrastructure, DevOps practices, and automation, combined with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure infrastructure to ensure fault tolerance, high availability, scalability, and security
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with automated build and test systems
• Oversee production deployments using multiple deployment strategies
• Automate Azure infrastructure and platform deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Automate system configurations with configuration management tools
• Implement microservices architecture concepts and best practices
• Coordinate with application development teams to align requirements, schedules, and activities
• Conduct proofs of concept (POCs) to validate the feasibility of proposed designs and technologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, proactively addressing challenges with a continuous improvement mindset
• Learn and adapt quickly to new services and technologies used in the environment

Requirements

• 8 to 12 years of experience in Azure Cloud environments
• Proficiency in DevOps CI/CD tools and practices
• Strong experience in Linux and Windows Administration
• Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Shell, and Unix scripting
• Knowledge of YAML scripting and ARM templates
• Proficiency in Terraform modules for infrastructure automation
• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and best practices
• Experience in automating infrastructure and platform deployments with IaC tools
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Azure
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
• B2+ English proficiency level
