About The Role

We’re looking for a Lead Developer to join our growing AI product team and take a pivotal role in building our flagship platform, Pythia.

Pythia is a cutting-edge AI-powered assistant designed to empower marketers by leveraging data to make smarter, data-driven decisions. Think of it as the Jarvis of marketing—blending artificial intelligence, analytics, and intuitive design to revolutionise how marketing professionals interact with and use their data.

As our Development Lead, you’ll help turn the CTO’s vision into reality, managing the day-to-day technical delivery of the Pythia platform. You’ll lead and mentor a talented local team in Pune, working closely with our remote CTO and global product teams across the UK and Asia-Pacific.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who’s ready to step into a leadership position—balancing hands-on coding, architecture, and problem-solving with guiding your team and shaping technical direction.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Planning

• Collaborate with the CTO to translate product vision into clear technical tasks and deliverables.
• Help define and implement a scalable, future-ready technical architecture.
• Work closely with AI, front-end, and back-end developers to ensure cohesive platform development.
• Support sprint planning, task prioritisation, and roadmap creation with product managers.
• Contribute to technical strategy discussions with innovative ideas and insights.
  
  

Development & Execution

• Lead by example through hands-on coding, problem-solving, and architectural decisions.
• Integrate AI models into the platform alongside AI engineers to optimise performance.
• Oversee front-end and back-end implementations to ensure high-quality, responsive experiences.
• Champion best practices in CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment.
  
  

Team Collaboration

• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
• Promote strong communication and alignment between AI, design, and engineering teams.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with the remote CTO and global colleagues.
  
  

Technical Oversight

• Identify technical challenges, bottlenecks, and risks early and guide the team to solutions.
• Stay current with emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and data engineering.
• Ensure all technical work meets high standards for security, performance, and scalability.
  
  

About You

We’re looking for a confident, motivated developer who combines deep technical expertise with leadership potential. You’ll be as comfortable writing and reviewing code as you are mentoring your team and driving collaboration across disciplines.

You Will Need To Have

• 5 to 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including exposure to AI-driven platforms or SaaS products.
• Strong full-stack development skills, including:
• Back-End: Python, Node.js, or similar, with microservices experience.
• Front-End: React, Angular, or Vue.js for intuitive user interfaces.
• AI/ML: Familiarity with frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch and model deployment.
• Data Engineering: Experience with data pipelines, ETL, and large-scale processing.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP, with containerisation via Docker or Kubernetes.
• DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering positive team dynamics.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and confidence making technical decisions.
• A product-first mindset, focused on building intuitive, user-centric solutions.
  

Preferably, You Should Have

• Experience working on marketing platforms, analytics tools, or data-focused SaaS products.
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and conversational AI.
• Experience with data visualisation frameworks and libraries.
