What You’ll Do

Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) - Aeropace FED Ducting & Joints Business has an 'Engineer' open position. In this position, the incumbent is responsible for successful project lead and execution of Aerospace Ducting and Joints projects, design & development Aerospace related Duct and Joints products, sustaining engineerimg, driving protfolio/project KPIs and ensure Internal Customer satisfaction.

This position would involve leading, executing & collaborating with experienced engineers, provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems. Assists in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts, and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results.

The candidate in this position is responsible to -

  • Perform engineering assignments, understand products & technologies, testing & specification of Eaton Aerospace Ducting and Joints products.
  • Ability to lead plant and customer critical projects - Sustaining/Runner, Plant critical, Customer critical with end to end ownership involving qualification needs.
  • Creation of 3D models, drawings, reports, CRs/COs and BOMs for new product designs and modification of existing drawings and models.
  • Utilize DFSS concepts, DFMEA, Risk Management & DVPR for new product development &/or existing product improvements.
  • Person in this position must have working knowledge of CAD tools such as Pro/E Creo,CATIA, assembly, detailing to prepare CAD models and complete detailed design/drawings.
  • Person should be good at GD&T & tolerance stack-up and engineering calculations as required to support design integrity.
  • Person should have good understanding of design guidelines standards such as ASME Y14/ANSI Y14.
  • Execute proto-type build, performance / durability testing, teardown of proto-type samples to evaluate product performance against customer requirements for concept level ideas as well as detailed design before product launch.
  • Creates and sustains process for design standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents and data control for the associated business group.
  • Develop understanding of Manufacturing processes (Machining/Sheet Metal/ Joining/HT/Passivation/Marking/ACES Standards) to improve new and existing designs.
  • Maintain credible communication practice with internal stakeholder and external customer on technical clarifications, testing & resolving of field failures.
  • Learning agility to understand & assimilate varied technologies & product knowledge.
  • Person should be able to perform failure investigation through RCA/8D Analysis methods.
  • Ensure the successful completion of the assigned projects within the budget time and cost constraints.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechnical/Aerospace Engineering

Skills

Mechanical Design, Requirements Review, 3D modelling tools, Analytical Thinking.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.

Ability to work across site boundaries in a global virtual engineering organization.

Ability to develop productive working relationships with functions and organizations outside of Engineering.

Should have digital mindset and AI tools understanding.
