As a Deputy Manager/ Manager Commodity, You will report to Head Sourcing
You will be responsible for -
Define sourcing strategy for the assigned commodity portfolio ,Negotiations- you are champion in negotiations with soft skills, focus total cost of ownership.
New product development – involve in NPD process as sourcing function from earlier phase or project ideation to make it “First Time Right” in all aspects- Q, C, D, S. Implement, use innovative ideas & products. Adhere to project budget and lead time
Risk mitigations, early identification and corrective actions – supply continuity, cost escalations, quality and warranty, potential safety and compliance adherence. Sense of dynamic socio-economic and dynamic global, local geopolitical scenarios.
Costing is must for this position- method is important but result is key
Localization – reduce and limit import content in product
Continuously explore and benchmark markets to strive for best suppliers, products, delivering the best in quality and cost in shorter lead time.
Standardize your learnings by formal agreements and procedures.
Lean sourcing process- digitalization- use, promote standard applications on digital platforms, supply agreements, tools/fixtures, advance demand forecasting/planning.
To succeed, you will need
Qualifications/Knowledge & Work Experience
Graduate Mechanical/production Engineer, post-graduation degree in Management is added advantage.
08-14 years’ experience in strategic sourcing/purchasing, in diverse and MNC business.
Background of Automotive, compressor manufacturing, Engineering/Industrial goods Industry is Preferred
Able to read a technical drawing with tolerances & specifications, with experience in Fabrication commodities.
Techno commercials know how on compressor parts buying like- engine, cooler, electric panel is a benefit.
