Delivery Lead - DevOps Engineer

Job Purpose

This role is part of the Enterprise Technology and Platform Engineering team, focusing on building, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. The position will support DevOps automation, database management, and application development while enabling AI-driven capabilities using Azure-native tools. The role requires strong collaboration with development, data, and platform teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient delivery of solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support application and platform deployments
• Develop and maintain cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational standards
• Work with Azure SQL and relational databases to design, optimize, and maintain database objects and queries
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code to support automation, data processing, and integrations
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable DevOps best practices, including source control, build automation, and release management
• Support integration and experimentation with AI Foundry / Microsoft Copilot capabilities (nice to have)
• Contribute to MCP (Model Context Protocol) development initiatives, if applicable (nice to have)
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across environments to ensure high availability and performance
• Maintain documentation for DevOps processes, cloud architecture, and operational procedures
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and data protection standards across Azure resources
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, repos, and release management
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure services with at least one Azure certification preferred/required
• Experience working with Azure SQL and strong SQL development skills
• Intermediate-level Python programming skills for automation and development tasks
• Understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and DevOps best practices
• Experience with CI/CD, version control systems, and agile delivery models
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
• Experience working in client-facing or stakeholder-driven environments
  
  

• Exposure to AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot, or AI-enabled development workflows
• Experience or familiarity with MCP development
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools and automation frameworks
