This person works within an engineering team and is responsible for supporting the organization under general supervision, evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering principles and techniques to engineering assignments. Works directly with customers and the Husco global engineering team to develop innovative hydraulic control system solutions. With support from the Manager and Director of Engineering will work independently on projects or sub-projects and will manage the day-to-day activities of these projects to ensure that results meet established needs and goals.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Product Design & Development
Design new products using standard engineering principles and calculations.
Understand and apply fit, form, and function principles.
Maintain and manage engineering documentation (drawings, product structures, specs, etc.).
Use 3D modeling tools Creo 9.0 (or higher version) and act as a checker for ECRs/EWOs.
Analysis & Simulation
Use tools like Ansys Mechanical, Ansys Fluent, Ansys Electronics, Siemens Simcenter.
Perform structural, CFD, magnetic, and system-level simulations.
Analyze and optimize designs based on simulation results.
Testing & Validation
Define testing goals and build test cases.
Monitor product performance and recommend improvements.
Conducts hands-on testing, builds, and repairs both in-house and at customer sites.
Provide technical assistance and problem-solving support to technicians.
New Product Introduction (NPI) [as applicable]
Lead NPI activities at HUSCO Pune.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely product launches.
Project & Program Management [as applicable]
Plan, schedule, and control projects to meet quality and performance goals.
Own supplier development, pilot builds, and production line readiness.
Support continuous improvement post-launch.
Communication & Documentation
Communicate project status and performance to internal/external stakeholders.
Prepare or review technical documentation and instructions.
PRINCIPAL AUTHORITIES:
Has authority to approve/sign different engineering approvals, conduct project management meetings, different levels of IFS/ECR approvals, and Engineering lab related approvals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, emphasis in Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
Bachelor with 10 to 12 years of related experience, or master’s with 8 to 10 years of related experience.
Experience in new product development, including demonstrated ability to apply core engineering principles and analytical techniques to effectively identify, analyze, and solve complex engineering problems.
Modeling and design know how of hydraulic castings, manifolds and components while following manufacturing practices using Creo 9.0 or higher version.
Demonstrated proficiency in simulation software.
Knowledge of Hydraulic Components and their application, capability to interpret and create hydraulic schematics, test plans, test specs, and test data.
NICE TO HAVE:
Windchill 12.0 experience.
Knowledge of IFS (ERP System).
Knowledge of Six Sigma Principles, DFSS (Design for Six Sigma), DFM&A (Design for Mfg. and Assembly), DFMEA/PFMEA.
Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 Standards.
Ability to work on research projects. Directs technicians in research applications. Ensure that work is completed within budgetary and time constraints while meeting customer and contractual demands.
