Purpose & Scope of Position
The Site Manager – Planning shall be responsible for project scheduling, progress monitoring, schedule integration, and project controls at the site level. The role involves coordinating planning activities across EPC contractors, OEMs, and multiple project packages to ensure alignment with the integrated project schedule. The incumbent will perform delay analysis, develop mitigation and recovery plans, and provide accurate project performance reporting to support timely project delivery.
Experience
- 15–20+ years of experience in project planning and controls for thermal power, infrastructure, industrial, or EPC projects.
Qualification
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 for assigned project areas.
- Integrate schedules across EPC contractors, BTG packages, BOP packages, and supporting project functions to maintain a consolidated project plan.
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules and identify schedule variances and critical path impacts.
- Conduct delay analysis and assess the impact of project disruptions, resource constraints, and interface issues on overall project timelines.
- Prepare recovery plans, catch-up schedules, and mitigation strategies to address schedule slippages.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, commissioning, and contractor teams to obtain accurate progress inputs.
- Track milestone achievements and provide early warning alerts for activities at risk of delay.
- Generate project progress reports, dashboards, look-ahead schedules, and management presentations.
- Support project review meetings by presenting schedule performance, risks, and corrective action plans.
- Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, and schedule forecasting to support informed decision-making.
- Assist in evaluation of extension of time (EOT) claims, productivity assessments, and schedule-related contractual matters.
- Ensure consistency of planning and reporting methodologies across all project packages and contractors.
