Job Description

  • In-Process Quality Assurance

    • Perform in-process inspections and verification activities as per Control Plans and SOPs.
    • Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
    • Ensure proper implementation of quality gates and process controls.
    • Verify first-piece approval and process setup validation before production release.

    Product Inspection & Testing

    • Conduct dimensional, visual, functional, and process audits.
    • Review inspection and test records for accuracy and compliance.
    • Ensure calibration status of measuring and testing equipment.
    • Support product validation and reliability testing activities.

    Defect Management & Problem Solving

    • Investigate internal quality issues, line rejections, and process deviations.
    • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using 5 Why, Fishbone, and 8D methodologies.
    • Implement containment, corrective, and preventive actions.
    • Verify effectiveness of corrective actions and maintain closure records.

    Quality Systems & Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with QMS requirements, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
    • Support internal audits, customer audits, and certification audits.
    • Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and traceability documentation.
    • Identify and escalate quality risks impacting product conformity.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Participate in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction projects.
    • Analyze quality trends and support improvement initiatives.
    • Drive reduction in defects, rework, scrap, and customer complaints.
    • Support digitalization and process improvement activities.

    Cross-Functional Coordination

    • Coordinate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Customer Quality teams.
    • Support new product introduction (NPI), pilot builds, and production readiness activities.
    • Participate in daily production and quality review meetings.

    Required Qualifications

    • Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality, In-Process Quality, Production Quality, or Quality Assurance.
    • Freshers with strong quality knowledge may also be considered depending on business requirements.
