Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive professional to support Engine Assembly operations by managing budgeting, inventory control, safety coordination, vendor management, asset control, process improvement initiatives, and manpower planning. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of assembly shop operations, inventory management, safety systems, and continuous improvement practices. SAP knowledge is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Budget & Cost Management

  • Coordinate Engine Assembly budget activities including consumables, wear-and-tear parts, and operational expenses.
  • Monitor departmental expenditures and support cost optimization initiatives.
  • Track budget utilization and ensure compliance with approved budgets.

Inventory & Store Operations

  • Manage purchasing activities, inventory control, and payment closure processes.
  • Monitor and track Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Ensure optimum stock levels of consumables, spare parts, and critical materials.
  • Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for timely material availability.

Safety Management & Compliance

  • Act as Engine Assembly Safety Coordinator.
  • Maintain safety documentation and records.
  • Coordinate and support ISO 45001 audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with safety teams for:
    • Firefighting systems and drills
    • TPI (Third Party Inspection) for lifting equipment and tackles
    • Management safety patrol activities
    • MSDS documentation and compliance
    • Safety improvement initiatives

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage cleaning vendors and contract workforce activities.
  • Plan and execute daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance activities.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Asset Management

  • Maintain records and control of Engine Assembly assets.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Audit teams during asset verification activities.
  • Ensure proper utilization and tracking of departmental assets.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Identify process improvement opportunities within Engine Assembly.
  • Drive Kaizen, productivity, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Collect improvement ideas from team members and support implementation.
  • Verify effectiveness and sustainability of implemented improvements.

Quality & Production Monitoring

  • Monitor daily MES data and production reports.
  • Ensure quality parameters remain within specified limits.
  • Analyze production concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.

Manpower Planning & Training

  • Plan manpower requirements based on production schedules.
  • Coordinate workforce deployment for optimal productivity.
  • Conduct skill development and training programs for operators and technicians.
  • Ensure competency development and cross-functional training.

  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Safety, Procurement, and Finance.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
